Every time I advertise in the Southern California on line newpaper call the recycler I get and e-mail from people who are out of state offering to pay 3 times what the item cost. In the lastest incident I put up a cell phone for 60 dollars. I got a email from a plain yahoo address from a man saying he was in England and will to pay 150 US dollars if I would rush the phone to him priority male. He even gave me a london phone number. It this some kind of scam. I can never advertise without getting these offer. It I thought they were true I would have taken them up on it by now. Is this a common scam?
Thanks Jason and Marjie. I should tell them to go **** their mother ck. next time. Marjie thanks for he extra details. I not only wanted to know “is this a scam” but what what the purpose. Apparently bad forms of payment. Thanks everyone.
