Hello, I pulled off one of the metal xylophone bars at school. I cannot put it back in. The xylophone looks something like this: http://www.usedottawa.com/classified-ad/3074280&category=percussion-drums
what holds the bar in place is a flexible round rubber which is a bit larger than the hole on the bar (which is why I cannot put it back in.)

It seems to me that if the rubber thingie is fexible then you ought to be able to force those through the hole until the bar pops into place. Then, stop screwing around with instruments, you dolt.

First, it’s not a xylophone…you’ve got a set of orchestra bells (glockenspiel, whatever you prefer).
It SHOULD fit right back over the little post. I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t fit now, if it fit before. Unless maybe the post is bent?
I say…suck it up and tell your teacher. Even if s/he can’t fix it, it can’t be a very expensive repair.
