I saw an ad for Express Paid Surveys. Are these for real? Can you really earn money? Would my computer get “sick” with “bugs” or viruses? Is it worth it?

It’s a scam. Leave it alone, unless you want a lot of spam in your mail box.

Well, if you want to get payed $1-5, and sometimes an occassionall $10 per survey, there are a lot of sites where you can do that. Even if you sign up for a whole bunch of these places though, you won’t be able to qualify for enough to make an income or anywhere close. Higher payed surveys do exist, but are rare (I’ve been offered one $30 and one $35 survey in the 5 years I’ve been taking surveys–neither of which I qualified for. Never been offered more than that, and I am signed up with over 10 sites).
DO NOT pay to take surveys–generally, at best, these sites only refer you to free sites you could sign up for without paying anything (*that was from and article in Parents magazine–I’ve always had the oppinion that you don’t pay to do a job for someone, so I have no personal experience with these).
I have more detailed tips on how to spot and avoid the scams here:
