I’m moving in with my boyfriend (all the way in, after having most of my stuff at my house for the past few months, it’s now rented out and the stuff has to go). I have a bunch of furniture that I need to get rid of (couch, entertainment center, a 19″ TV, a few odds and ends), but I’m not sure what the quickest, easiest way would be.

Craigslist ad saying “come get this stuff at this date/time”?
Classified ad advertising the furniture and saying you can come look at it at a specific date/time?
I’m trying to avoid needing a yard sale permit. The stuff will all be in my garage/house for people to see and haul off after payment. Will this work? Who do I contact if I do need a permit (what local agency)?
